For the in vitro quantitative detection of the activity of 5'-nucleotidase (5'-NT) in human serum or plasma. 5'-nucleotidase (5'-NT) is a specific hydrolase that can specifically hydrolyze inosine monophosphate into inosine and phosphoric acid. This enzyme is widely distributed in human and animal tissues. 5'-NT enters bile through the liver cell membrane and then enters the serum, making it one of the indicators for detecting hepatobiliary diseases. The level of this enzyme is significantly elevated in patients with intrahepatic and extrahepatic bile duct obstruction and in post-mastectomy patients with concurrent circulatory metastasis. For the diagnosis of hepatobiliary diseases, 5'-NT is more sensitive than other enzymes in the liver. This test is a preliminary screening method and does not have the effectiveness of diagnosing diseases. It needs to be comprehensively judged in conjunction with other test results.The main method used for the detection of 5'-ribonucleotide hydrolase in clinical practice is the colorimetric method.
