Additional product description: The CS-Deferens algorithm is intended for the postsurgical evaluation of vas deferens tissue: - It detects epithelial cells of the vas deferens in samples obtained from vasectomies. - It assists in the diagnosis of normal tissue. - It provides specific information about a physiological or pathological state. - It is a qualitative automated algorithm that integrates Artificial Intelligence. - It uses vas deferens tissue samples from patients assigned male at birth of all ages. Therefore, the purpose of the algorithm is to provide the pathologist or healthcare professional using it with an automatic identification of findings, facilitating the interpretation of areas containing epithelial cells on an image of a processed vas deferens tissue sample from a vasectomy. This is done by highlighting potential areas of interest so that the pathologist can make a faster and safer diagnosis, less affected by inter-observer variability, since it is standardized. The diagnosis provided by the algorithm is not definitive: it must always be validated by the pathologist, who confirms the accuracy of the generated information.
