INTENDED PURPOSE / INTENDED USE For in vitro diagnostic use in the quantitative determination of the ionized calcium concentration in human serum and plasma with the automated procedures of Thermo Scientific™ Konelab™ analyzers. The Calcium Micro Volume Electrode test is used together with the pH Micro Volume Electorde (981597). The Calcium Micro Volume Electrode test is indicated to be used in conjunction with clinical evaluation for aid to diagnosis and monitoring of decreased (hypocalcemia) or increased (hypercalcemia) ionized calcium levels due to various disorders of kidney, bone, parathyroid gland and gastrointestinal tract, in patients.
