An orally administered device intended to facilitate weight loss and treat obesity by reducing absorption of multiple macronutrients (e.g., fat, carbohydrates and sugar). It is designed to interfere with the absorption of the nutrients by either interfering with the activity of digestive enzymes or by creating a complex that is too large to be absorbed and which may increase viscosity and hydration of the gastrointestinal content it may create the sensation of fullness.
