Brace is anatomically moulded and covers the knee joint together with the distal thigh and proximal lower leg (approx. 15 cm above and below the middle of the knee joint). , It has an additionally patellar cut-out to guide and relieve the patella (knee-cap). The cut-out can be cut to fit personal requirements. It relieves the patella and popliteal region during flexion. Pinching and chafing are prevented in the popliteal space and at the edges by even compression, the longitudinal seams and ideal constant adaptation of the support, thanks to generous folds. This means the support sits comfortably even when the patient is moving. The improved dissipation of heat and wicking of perspiration of the internal structure prevent the support from slipping down (provided it is the correct size). The good stabilization provided by the support (thickness 5 mm) is especially suited for cases in which minor strain symptoms can be detected, but the ligamentous apparatus is still unaffected, e.g. pain in tendon or muscular attachments, muscular soreness etc. The bandage is particularly suitable for stabilizing the knee joint and relieving the patella, when the liga-mentous apparatus is still fully functional, to prevent strain symptoms. It is also well-suited for rheumatoid knee complaints (with its optimum, permanent rewarming properties) and for sporting activities, such as running, tennis, handball, basketball and other ball games.
