Where does the UDI data come from?
From the device's live EUDAMED record. The device identifier is pre-filled and its check digit validated, so you never re-type or transpose a GTIN.
What's the difference between the free and paid barcode?
The UDI-DI DataMatrix (the device identifier only) is free with a sign-in. The UDI-PI DataMatrix adds your production identifiers — lot, serial, manufacturing / expiry dates and software version — to make it print-ready. That tier costs 8 cr once per device.
What does 8 cr include?
One print-ready UDI-PI DataMatrix for one device — you pay once per device and can regenerate it free forever. Credits come with your monthly allowance or a credit pack.
Is it GS1-compliant?
Yes. The carrier uses GS1 Application Identifiers with the human-readable text shown and a white quiet zone. A built-in scan flow verifies FNC1, AI order, date validity and the check digit before you print. GS1 is the issuing agency supported today; HIBCC and ICCBBA are on the waitlist.
